Lesson
Motor Behavior
Motor Behavior =
Motor Learning + Motor Control + Motor Development
Motor Learning:
“A process* by which the capability for producing movement performance and the actual movement performance are reliably changed through instruction, practice and/or experience”
(The learning that takes place through such processes* cannot be seen directly, and must be inferred based on something directly measurable, such as lasting change in skilled actions/performance).
Motor Control: (more emphasis on structure and function of neuromuscular system)
“The study of how the neuromuscular system (ie. central and peripheral nervous system and proprioceptors) functions to activate and coordinate the muscles and limbs involved in the performance of motor skills, both new and acquired”.
